Dietitians specialising in Eating Disorders and Mental Health
I founded Dietitian Sophie in 2022 with the aim of offering support to individuals and families who want to overcome difficulties with eating.
The Dietitian Sophie Clinic supports children and adults with a number of conditions including Anorexia, Bulimia, Binge eating disorder and ARFID. We feel strongly that you don’t need a diagnosis to be worthy of help and accept referrals for almost all problems relating to disordered eating. We are a remote clinic which means we can see people across the UK.
We would love to support you. Click here to get in contact and start your journey. Or click below to find out more about us.
Testimonials from previous clients
Client
"I worked with Sophie as part of my outpatient team after daycare treatment and honestly could not have asked for someone better! She is very forward thinking and it is apparent she spends much time looking into new research- meaning her insight is often very appropriate and not at all outdated. I found our sessions to be almost therapeutic- she is incredibly kind, passionate and also goes the extra mile for her clients in regards to sourcing anything you need and providing a very personally tailored service. She has helped me hugely on my journey and I would recommend her to anyone looking for dietetic insight or support."

"Sophie has been a pleasure to work with and has always left me feeling motivated for change after each session. She has consistently had my back throughout my eating disorder journey through the ups and the downs, and is willing to work through issues at my own pace, always being my own cheerleader. Sophie has perfected the balance of keeping things professional whilst making light of a serious situation, something important to myself (I will miss our giggles!). She has reminded me today there is always hope. Thank you so much Sophie!"
Client
"I am always so grateful for the appointments we had together, I credit so much of my motivation to start recovery to the appointments I had with you. I'm doing so well now and you really gave me the start that I needed when I was at my worst."

Take a look at the services I offer below...
Eating Disorder Recovery
I have experience working with patient’s with Eating Disorders in both inpatient, outpatient, private and NHS settings. I support clients with meal planning, behaviour change and challenging the eating disorder. I have trained in a number of psychological methods and can offer Guided Self Help if appropriate.
Food freedom
A non-diet, weight inclusive approach to help improve your relationship with food and overall mental wellbeing.
Stop dieting forever and feel free from the burdens of constantly trying to change yourself and your body.
Veganism
All patterns of eating and beliefs are welcome. But, if you follow a vegan, plant based or vegetarian diet, I have a wealth of experience in this area and I can help ensure it is balanced and you are getting all the nutrients you need. I have experience supporting people who are vegan and in eating disorder recovery. You can find a number of blogs about this on my blogs page.
Regain your period
Losing your period is called Amenhorrea. This can be due to many reasons including eating disorders, stressful lifestyles and over-exercising. I utilise evidence based methods to support you to get your period back, to maximise your health and understand your body and how to best look after it.
I love being a guide and supporter for the individual during recovery and celebrating their small and big wins. It comes with challenges but I wouldn’t want to do anything else
Frequently askedquestions
For individual clients, I offer an initial assessment on Zoom, followed by 1-1 dietetic consultations to support dietary change to meet your goals. Whether you wish to recover from an eating disorder, get your period back or break free from dieting.
“Dietitians are qualified and regulated health professionals that assess, diagnose and treat dietary and nutritional problems at an individual and wider public-health level.
They use the most up-to-date public health and scientific research on food, health and disease which they translate into practical guidance to enable people to make appropriate lifestyle and food choices.”- British Dietetic Association
If you are concerned about your nutritional intake and would like some dietary advice and support making changes, then the best person to see is a dietitian.
The first consultation is an assessment, this takes 1 hour and we will talk about your eating habits, physical health, mental health, relationship with food and any other topics that are relevant to you. In the assessment we will set goals to ensure the work we do is personalised and focussed on the areas you want to improve.
I use evidence based nutrition and counselling skills to support you to make lifestyle changes to achieve your goals.
You can expect to be listened to and advised in a respectful and weight-inclusive manner. The conversation is totally private and I will not share anything with anyone unless you give consent for me to do so or if I think you are at risk if I didn’t.
The session rates and details about the service can be found here.
The first step is to book a discovery call, this is for me to get an understanding about what it is you would like support with. It also allows you to get to know me and see if you would like to work with me. From there we can organise an assessment.
